Mission and Values
All are Welcome!

We are a family in God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, celebrating the life-giving presence and love of Jesus Christ and sharing his love with our neighbors. Come join us on our journey!

As Episcopalians, we believe in and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, our redeemer, teacher, and guide. We are a welcoming, open, and loving congregation, traveling together on this Christian journey. We believe Jesus calls us to be a source of peace, comfort, and safety for all who enter our doors.
Putting our trust in God and one another, we value loving relationships. In our community, we often share one another’s celebrations and sorrows, our best and worst days and everything in between. We live into the command to "love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself" (Luke 10:27).
We believe that God loves us - no exceptions. No matter who you are or where you’ve been, God loves you. As the National Episcopal Church says in its statement of belief, “The Episcopal Church embraces a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being.” Bishops, priests, and deacons in the Episcopal church represent a broad array of people across race, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, geography, politics, and socio-economic status. The same is true of everyday Episcopalians.

Leaning on scripture, tradition, and reason, we explore life’s questions, and seek and learn together. In the Episcopal tradition, this balance of authority between scripture, tradition, and reason is often referred to as a “three-legged stool." If any one of the three legs is not upright, the stool will fall. For more on this concept, visit an Episcopal Dictionary of the Church on the national church website.

We believe that we must "look with compassion on the whole human family" (BCP p. 815). We are called to work towards God's purposes on Earth by serving others, working toward unity and peace, and lifting up those who suffer in our midst.
